What We Do
With four 1800-GOT-JUNK? franchises in Australia and more on the way, we service Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and all metro areas of Sydney, including the Northern Suburbs, Eastern Suburbs and the CDB. All 1800-GOT-JUNK? franchises are proudly Australian owned and operated. We are a full service rubbish removal company and we are here to give you your space back! There is no need to break your back! Just point to the rubbish wherever it is in the house, under the house, in the back garden, or at the office and we will do all the lifting, sorting and loading. Don’t worry about getting out the broom either, we will do a sweep up, rake up or hose down of the area before we leave! We service both residential and commercial clients and deliver an outstanding experience every time.

G'day! I'm Shannon Keeler, the General Manager for the 1800-GOT-JUNK? corporate franchise in Sydney. I'm a native of Bunbury, Western Australia. I have a wonderful wife “Bec” and a beautiful new baby girl, Cody, who was born in April of this year.
I started with 1800-GOT-JUNK? in May 2008 to the surprise of a few friends, “JUNK removal… hmmm” was the common reply. I originally thought that junk and rubbish removal would be a huge change from my previous background in furniture retail, however, after three months running my franchise, I now believe that they are basically the same concept. We both provide our customers with a solution for their changing lifestyles! The solution offered by 1800-GOT-JUNK? We give you your space back, professionally and hassle free!
One of the many fantastic things about 1800-GOT-JUNK? is that our rates are based solely on volume and not on time or weight. You only pay for the amount of space your junk takes up in the back of our truck. Labour and weight is all included.
Considering the effort it took me to clean up all the rubbish we had from our last move from Perth to Sydney, when I factor in my time, hiring a truck, insurance and so on, I wish I had known about 1800-GOT-JUNK?. It would have been cheaper and much easier just to pick up the phone and let someone else do all the hard work!
1800-GOT-JUNK? has been very successful overseas and launched here in Australia in 2005. We have a growing fleet of truck and team members that service most of the Sydney area and we also have four other 1800-GOT-JUNK? franchises in Australia, including two in Queensland.
We are located across the road from the Artarmon Bunnings Hardware Super Store between the Gore Hill freeway, Royal North Shore Hospital in St Leonards and Artarmon Railway Station.
It has been great to see how many people have seen our trucks and used our service. You will often see our clean, shiny trucks roaming the streets of the lower north shore of Sydney including Mosman, Cremorne, Neutral Bay, North Sydney, Chatswood, Artarmon, Rosevile, Castlecrag, Northbridge, and Willoughby to the Eastern suburbs, which include the Central Business District (CBD), Bondi, Paddington, Double Bay, Surry Hills, Vaucluse, Rose Bay, Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, and Rushcutters Bay. We’re also members of the Chatswood and Mosman Chamber of Commerce.
We recently expanded the business to the Northern Beaches including Manly, Seaforth, Newport to Palm Beach, as well as the Epping, Gladesville, Ryde areas and beyond!.
We are doing our very best to recycle and donate as much as possible. Our goal is to donate and recycle 50% of the product that we pick up in order to keep as much junk as possible out of our local landfills. We also support local charities such as St Vincent De Paul and the Salvation Army. Hi, I’m Paul Tomezak I own the Sydney South and Inner-West Sydney Franchise of 1800-GOT-JUNK?. I started hauling rubbish in January of 2007 as the second franchise in all of Australia. Before I began my life as a junkman, I worked in corporate sales in the US and in Australia. My family and friends were quite surprised when I decided to swap the suit and tie for a crisp blue 1800-GOT-JUNK? uniform!
Being a locally owned and operated rubbish removal business we have the opportunity to donate reusable junk to local charities such as St. Vincent DePaul Society, The Salvation Army and Just Enough Faith. My wife and I are both happy to donate and recycle as much rubbish as possible to keep it out of local landfills. I make it my mission to recycle or donate more than 50% of the items we pick up on a daily basis.
