What’s the process for booking your rubbish removal in Adelaide?
When we say we bring full-service rubbish removal to Adelaide, we mean it; the only effort on your part is booking the appointment.
- Tell us when you want us to come over to your house by phone or by booking online and, we’ll book you a two hour arrival window.
Your time is valuable, so we give youye a call 15 – 30 minutes before the window to let you know exactly when we’ll show up. - Point to the items you want taken away, and we’ll give you an upfront, all-inclusive quote.
If you like the price we quote you, we get to work packing, loading, and disposing of all the junk you want removed – we’ll even handle the clean-up!
We actively donate and recycle your junk
We always get asked: “where does my junk go?”
We do our best not to dispose of rubbish at the landfill. If the goods we collect are in good condition, they are taken to Goodwill, The Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul, or one of many other charities in Adelaide to be given a second-life.
If the goods are not in donatable condition, they are taken to a place called Alternative Fuels at Wingfield, where the entire contents gets fed through massive machinery and shredded to a fine consistency. It is then compacted into giant ‘rubbish bricks’, and freighted down to Adelaide Brighton Cement Works where it powers their kilns.
Rubbish only goes to the landfill as a last resort – we promise!
When should you call 1800-GOT-JUNK? Adelaide?
We have found that there’s always junk that needs removing! Whether you’re spring cleaning, making way for new furniture, moving in Adelaide or area, finalising a deceased estate in Adelaide, have a large pile of construction or renovation debris you need to get rid of, or cleaning up after messy tenants, there is no job too big or too small for 1800-GOT-JUNK?.
Some of the most common items we take are TVs (and analogue TVs) electronics and electronic waste, mattresses, furniture (like couches and cabinets of all kinds), household appliances, yard debris and auto parts.
The strangest item we’ve ever collected has to be an extensive doll collection from an unlikely collector. When we say “we take it all”, we really, really mean it.

Help us with the 2013 Cara Charity TV Challenge
Our very own Emily Foreman (General Manager of 1800-GOT-JUNK? in South Australia) has been nominated to try out for the 2013 Cara Charity TV Challenge.
The Cara Foundation is a South Australian based non-profit organisation that raises much needed funding for people with extreme disabilities. We feel that the State and Commonwealth government provide funding for people with extreme disabilities that doesn’t come close to what they actually need to live, which is why Emily is happy to volunteer and fundraise for the cause.
For the TV Challenge, 12 people are selected to take part in a week long adventure camp that consists of fun activities and fundraising challenges. In order to be selected, Emily must raise a minimum of $10,000 by way of three fundraising events she needs to organise over the next four months.
1800-GOT-JUNK? Adelaide is no stranger to the Cara Charity TV Challenge. In 2012 we sponsored Rick Lane who went on to raise $22,000, the most money that any challenger has raised in the history of Challenge.
In true 1800-GOT-JUNK? fashion, Emily’s plan is simple: beat the record by raising $30,000! Goooooo Emily!
