Hi, I am Peter Makin and I own the Gold Coast franchise of 1800-GOT-JUNK? that covers the area from Kingscliff NSW to Coomera QLD. I am very excited that my rubbish removal business is the first 1800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Queensland. Since 2007 our hauling business has been servicing the Gold Coast, Southport, Main Beach, Paradise Waters, Ashmore, Arundal, Palm Beach, Robina, Runaway Bay and many more cities in Queensland.
Owning a 1800-GOT-JUNK? franchise on the Gold Coast has changed my life. I relocated my family to live here on the Gold Coast, a long held dream of ours, to join the rest of my extended family who've been locals for over 20 years. Previously, I'd spent my life working in the corporate world in customer service and marketing. Like many corporate people, I wanted to work for myself and combine my passion for customer service with owning my own business. My 1800-GOT-JUNK? franchise allows me to do just that. Our customers just love the fact that the website and call centre are so easy to use. People love that we turn up on time, exactly when you say you want us. All you have to do is point to the junk or rubbish you want removed, and two men stack it in the truck and take it away, never to be in your way again.
We care about our environment and make it our mission to recycle things that may be junk or rubbish to you, but valuable to others. Since we opened our rubbish removal business the response from commercial businesses, house and apartment dwellers has been fantastic. Elderly people in particular like our service as we are friendly and have no problems providing a little bit of extra caring service that may be needed. You might have seen our big, blue shiny 1800-GOT-JUNK? trucks parked on Bundall Road, or near Bunnings in Ashmore or on Wardoo Street or near TSS.
You might have talked to me at our stand at the Gold Coast Show. I'm often seen parked near my children's schools, Guardian Angels and Aquinas in Ashmore. Here we are at our launch in September at the Gold Coast Show. This is the first 1800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Queensland, and people were very curious to know what sort of service we provided. The children loved the balloons and the little give-away trucks. We hope their parents keep the magnets on their fridge!
